Job summary

The MPA Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore seeks a seasoned Civil Engineer to drive long-term planning and development of Singapore's port infrastructure, including Tuas Port.

You will lead port master planning, land use planning, coastal protection and renewable energy initiatives across MPA facilities, coordinating with government agencies, port operators and industry partners to ensure sustainable, efficient growth.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant, progressive experience in infrastructure planning, engineering or project development.
• Experience in port and maritime infrastructure planning, coastal engineering, climate resilience, renewable energy or energy management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead port planning and development, coordinating with government agencies and stakeholders on land use, reclamation studies and integration with adjacent developments.
• Oversee feasibility studies, master planning and concept designs for development and redevelopment of MPA’s maritime facilities and infrastructure.
• Coordinate regulatory approvals for proposed developments and ensure timely implementation of port construction works.
• Develop climate change adaptation and coastal protection plans for Tuas Port and MPA facilities; act as internal resource on adaptation matters.
• Plan and implement solarisation and energy management initiatives, including feasibility studies and microgrid concepts across MPA facilities.
• Support maritime emergency operations through modelling and collaboration with research institutions.
