Job summary

PRVW in Singapore is seeking a senior engineer to own a production platform day-to-day, with release authority and AWS management. You’ll work on the Java/Spring Boot backend and React frontend, continuing to code rather than moving away from it.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering with production Java and PostgreSQL systems.
• Hands-on AWS (containers, networking, IAM, S3, CDN), CI/CD with GitHub Actions or equivalent, Docker, and Terraform or IaC tool.
• Strong code reviewer who catches design problems, not just style.
• Professional use of AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflow, including reviewing AI-generated code for production.

Responsibilities

• Own deployments via GitHub Actions to AWS and verify releases across dev, QA and client UAT estates.
• Triage incidents during Singapore hours and provide clear post-incident write-ups.
• Build and fix features in Java/Spring Boot backend and React/TypeScript frontend within AI-native delivery process.
• Lead migration of client data into the platform meeting data quality and audit standards.

PRVW is a small team partnering with leading enterprises on Data & AI strategy, architecture and agentic systems. We work as human + cybernetic teams: you'll work alongside world-class colleagues and proprietary AI agents. We have offices in Singapore, London, Manchester, New York and Chicago, with a hybrid, remote-first culture.

The role

We're looking for a senior engineer to be the day-to-day owner of one of our production platforms from Singapore. You'll hold merge and release authority, run the AWS estate behind it, and keep building across the Java and React stack rather than moving away from code.

Type: Full-time, permanent

Location: Singapore, hybrid, with regular overlap calls with the UK team in the early evening

Reports to: CTO

What you'll do

• Act as code owner for the platform: review architecture, API, schema and infrastructure proposals, and set direction on the decisions that matter.
• Own deployments through GitHub Actions to AWS, verify releases across dev, QA and client UAT estates, and roll back cleanly when something is wrong.
• Look after Terraform-managed AWS infrastructure (ECS Fargate, CloudFront, S3, RDS PostgreSQL), along with IAM, monitoring, alerting and cost.
• Triage and resolve incidents during Singapore hours, closing the round-the-clock gap, and escalat with a clear written write-up.
• Build and fix features yourself across the Java / Spring Boot backend and React / TypeScript frontends, inside our AI-native delivery process.
• Lead the migration of a client's existing records into the platform, to the data quality and audit standards a regulated sector expects.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years in software engineering, including time as the engineer responsible for a production Java and PostgreSQL system: releases, incidents and the calls that come with them.
• Hands-on AWS (containers, networking, IAM, S3, CDN), CI/CD with GitHub Actions or close equivalent, Docker, and Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool.
• A strong code reviewer who catches design problems, not just style.
• Professional use of AI-assisted development tools as part of your daily workflow, including reviewing and hardening AI-generated code for production.
• Based in Singapore, or able to relocate, and able to start as soon as possible. We can consider visa support for the right candidate.
