Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the AMK-THK Hospital, for a fulltime senior Physiotherapist to join our integrated care team. We are looking for outgoing and flexible individuals with proven experience of working in the area of adult rehabilitation. Candidates who are able to demonstrate sound assessment, clinical reasoning and complex discharge planning skills are welcome to apply.

The hospital provides full suite of rehabilitation to patients with stroke, fracture, post-surgical deconditioning etc. The rehab unit has a well-established multidisciplinary team approach and the ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This post offers an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to develop their clinical expertise in the areas of stroke, dementia, frail elderly or fractures. They will have the support of the multidisciplinary team. The incumbent will work alongside other therapists and be involved in the supervision and support of the junior Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistant and students.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessment, treatment and discharge planning for adult rehabilitation patients (including stroke, fracture, post-surgical deconditioning).
  • Work within a well-established multidisciplinary rehabilitation team and contribute to care planning and communication with colleagues and patients.
  • Supervise and support junior Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistants and students; collaborate with other therapists.
  • Develop and maintain clinical expertise in areas such as stroke, dementia, frail elderly or fractures.
