The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of sailing experience as Master and 5 years of shore-based experience. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for safe operation of a Fleet of Oil/Chemical Tankers.
• Ensure vessel compliance with regulations.
• Supervise tank cleaning operations and conduct vessel inspections.
• Conduct in-depth investigations and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Supervise preparation for various 3rd party inspections.

Job description

Responsibilities

• As a Deputy Fleet Manager, you will assume full responsibility for safe operation of a Fleet of Oil/Chemical Tankers vessels assigned to you.
• Ensure vessel compliance with company, SMS, international and local regulations.
• Besides day to day close monitoring of vessels, you will be required to supervise tank cleaning operation, ensure safety of navigation, and carry out vessel inspections.
• Required to conduct in-depth investigations when required, ensure certification and documentation of vessels under your charge are up to date and meet international safety standards.
• You will also supervise the preparation of vessels for various 3rd party inspections like – Sire / CDI / MESQAC Inspections / TMSA Review.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year sailing experience as Master on Oil/Chemical Tankers
• Minimum 5 years of shore based experience
• Added advantage if the candidate has worked on Coated and Stainless Tanks
