An independent international ship broker is seeking a dry bulk operations executive in Singapore. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in dry-bulk operations with strong leadership and communication skills. Responsibilities include managing multiple shipments, post voyage management, and providing reliable consultancy to clients. The position offers competitive compensation including performance-related bonuses.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and support company-wide.

Responsibilities

  • Manage 20-30 active shipments concurrently.
  • Post voyage management and dispute settlements.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and management.
  • Provide consultancy to clients.

We are actively seeking a dry bulk operations executive that matches the following criteria.

Required skills & competencies
  • 5+ years’ experience in dry-bulk operations.
  • Positive attitude and team-spirit, and leadership capability.
  • Confident in interpersonal guidance and communication.
  • Reliable to be independent and supportive company-wide.
  • Strong conversational and written English as business language
  • Advanced understanding of laytime and freight calculations.
  • Strong accounting and mathematical capability.
Summary of responsibilities
  • Running 20-30 active shipments concurrently
  • Post voyage management
  • Dispute settlements
  • Consistent accurate data entry and management.
  • Reliable consultancy to clients
  • Brokerage Commissions.
  • Charter Party management.
Compensation
  • 5 days' work per week, but expected to work overtime when necessary.
  • Salary is to be determined according to experience and qualifications.
  • Bonus: Performance related & discretionary.
