BNL WASTE MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced operations leader to manage daily fleet and waste collection activities.
The role includes planning routes, deploying staff, and ensuring maintenance and safety standards are met across REL, hooklift, OTC and related equipment. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, develop SOPs, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and provide regular performance reports to leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead daily waste collection and fleet operations, including REL, hooklift, OTC, waste collection vehicles and equipment.
Plan and optimise fleet scheduling, vehicle deployment, routes and manpower resources to meet operational requirements.
Oversee fleet, equipment and engineering maintenance to ensure reliability, safety and minimum downtime.
Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes for vehicles, REL, hooklift systems, OTC and other equipment.
Develop and execute engineering projectsto improvewaste processing capabilities,fleet reliability, equipment performance, operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Monitor fleet utilisation, vehicle availability, productivity, fuel consumption and operational costs.
Ensure compliance with relevant Singapore safety, environmental, regulatory and operational requirements.
Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage drivers, operators, contractors and service providers effectively.
Coordinate vehicle servicing, inspections, repairs and breakdown recovery.
Develop and maintain SOPs, work processes, risk controls and operational standards.
Lead and develop operations and engineering teams to achieve safety, productivity and service excellence.
Provide management with regular operational, fleet, engineering and performance reports and recommendations.
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
Diploma and/or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, another relevant engineering discipline, Project Management, or an equivalent qualification will be an advantage.
Professional certifications in environmental management, waste management, occupational safety, or sustainability would be an advantage.
Minimum 3 year of relevant working experience in Waste Management

Knowledge of environmental, health and safety requirements.
Strong communication, analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary project environment.
