Key Responsibilities
- Macroeconomics and Microeconomics research coverage and forecasts of more than 50 corporates within South East Asia countries which are Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Australia, New Zealand and leads to identify possible investment targets
- Ensure accurate and timely response/reports on relevant topic including the release of macroeconomic data and key economic/political events
- Provide support to Bank’s business units including for external client needs and internal requirements such as stress tests
- Deep dive, fundamental analysis into said targets to generate reports on quantitative and qualitative information (inc ESG analysis etc)
- Identify new sectors and asset classes for investment
- Occasionally travel for business trip is required
- Any other ad-hoc assignment as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Statistics/Finance
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of related experience in Finance Industry
- Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills and ability to perform intermediate to advanced level of data/statistical analysis/econometric modelling
- Familiar with tools such as excel macros and Bloomberg
- Competency in creating financial models, cash flow and balance sheet analysis
- Detail-oriented with strong commercial and common sense and the ability to plan, organize and lead effectively and independently
- Must be able to work under stress and in a team environment locally
- Ability to communicate effectively with the senior management is desired
- Report writing and data presentation are required
