Balance Sheet Risk Management - Liquidity Management is responsible for measuring and managing risk arising from mismatch of liquidity and cash flow profiles of assets and liabilities. Often includes some or all of the liquidity risk management, FX risk management, and interest risk management. This area includes the management, measurement, and modeling of the firm's liquidity position. Specializes in developing funding and liquidity risk management strategies and managing the firm's liquidity position by driving targeted projects to enhance the firm’s capabilities and management of intraday liquidity and a portfolio of low risk assets.

Position Overview

As a key member of the Balance Sheet Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in monitoring and analysis of the Bank’s Liquidity Risk, encompassing both subsidiary banks and overseas operations. Your expertise will contribute to the identification, measurement, and management of liquidity risks, ensuring the stability and sustainability of the organization’s financial structure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, consolidate, and review daily and monthly liquidity risk reports, including regulatory submissions, for the Bank Group.
  • Monitor and analyze the Bank/Group’s liquidity risk exposures to ensure robust risk management practices are maintained across all entities.
  • Assist in the review and validation of overseas reports, ensuring the alignment of liquidity assumptions with local regulatory requirements and unique market conditions.
  • Support the development and enhancement of liquidity risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, corporate treasury, and business units, to gather relevant data and insights for comprehensive risk analysis.
  • Perform stress testing and scenario analysis, to assess the Bank’s resilience under adverse market conditions.
  • Participate in system enhancements and automation initiatives to improve the efficiency and accuracy of risk reporting.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments, market trends, and best practices in liquidity and balance sheet risk management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) are an advantage.
  • Experience in risk management, liquidity risk analysis, regulatory reporting, or a similar role within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to liquidity risk (e.g., Basel III, MAS 649, MAS 652 regulatory frameworks).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and engage with stakeholders across various functions and locations.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced environment
