RESPONSIBILITIES
Education and Training Delivery
- Develop and implement competency-based training programmes for care staff and nursing professionals.
- Conduct training programs and workshops on clinical skills, care protocols, and relevant nursing procedures which are aligned with up-to-date, evidence-based practice and service requirements.
- Facilitate onboarding programme for new frontline care staff.
- Conduct training needs analysis and ensure frontline care staff competency check is completed according to Home Care's service requirements.
Clinical Supervision and Assessment
- Develop a system to monitor, assess and sustain clinical competence during on-the-job training and placements.
- Work with HPC Ops to provide coaching and feedback to frontline care staff to support their development.
- Ensure Home Personal Care service fulfills the standards of the Homes Care service requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes through feedback and outcomes assessments.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with HC Ops, HC Nurse Managers and clinical teams to identify learning needs.
- Collaborate with members of the Nursing Administration, such as Director of Nursing, nurse clinician and nurse educators from other BUs, and external training partners are required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
- Hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Have at least 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Demonstrate keen interest or experience in staff training, preceptorship, or education.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be proactive, organised, and passionate about training.
- Be agile and comfortable to deliver training to non-clinical staff whose primary language is not English.
- Proficient in using technology to deliver training and competency assessments.
- Have completed clinical educator or nursing education course (e.g. Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment - ACTA/ACLP).
It would be great if you:
- Have experience in community healthcare settings.
- Are familiar with SNB competency frameworks and clinical teaching methodologies.
- Are comfortable with facilitating group learning and hands-on clinical teaching.
- Possess an qualification in adult training and education framework.
