Job summary

Mediacorp Pte Ltd is hiring a Network & Security Engineer to support 1-Net's IT Services portfolio in Singapore. You will design and implement network and firewall solutions, perform routine maintenance, and ensure service levels across cloud, managed, and data center services.

The role requires strong troubleshooting and a proactive approach to security and ops. You will work on OS, virtualization, and cloud platforms, while maintaining SOPs and contributing to ISO/QMS/ISMS/BCMS/PCI-DSS

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in IT or computer-related field.
CCNA or equivalent network certification.
ITIL v3 or v4 knowledge preferred.
Strong network troubleshooting skills with installation and configuration of networking devices.
Experience across OS, databases, applications, networking devices, storage, firewalls, IDS/IPS, orchestration and virtualization.
Experience with Operating Systems (RH Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, Windows Server).
Cloud knowledge: AWS, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, OpenStack.
Understanding of cloud/enterprise networking and security best practices.
Knowledge of OS/Network security hardening.
Excellent networking concepts and switch/routing knowledge.
Experience in analysing security logs and network/security incidents.
Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving under pressure.
Good command of English, written and spoken.
Customer focus, continuous learning, decision making, and commitment.

Responsibilities

Support corporate and customer IT infrastructure and projects to meet SLAs.
Design, architect and build network and firewall deployment solutions and frameworks.
Deploy firewall best practices to secure data center infrastructure and apps.
Participate in R&D to enable innovation of IT services.
Monitor performance, perform patch management and capacity planning.
Rectify IT operational issues and change requests within SLA.
Manage and administer routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, and endpoint security.
Provide diagnoses, resolutions, and documentation for enterprise network support.
Install, configure, integrate and commission IT solutions for internal and external customers.
Proactively seek better IT solutions to optimize operations and growth.
