Job summary

Gemini is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Mobile) to own trading experiences across React Native, iOS, and Android. You will build real-time market UI, order entry, and portfolio views while collaborating with backend engineers on gRPC, WebSocket, and FIX. Expect cross-surface work to web interfaces and backend contributions as needed.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, architectural decisions, and shaping UX for crypto, equities, and prediction markets across mobile and web.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering with production mobile experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Swift and/or Kotlin.
• Experience building real-time, data-heavy UIs (trading/dashboards).
• Willingness to do backend work in Go/Java/Scala as needed.
• Familiarity with FIX, WebSocket, REST, gRPC, or GraphQL protocols.
• Independent decision-maker with domain expertise.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain mobile trading experiences end-to-end: market browsing, order placement, portfolio views, and settlement flows across React Native and native iOS/Android.
• Architect performant, real-time UI for streaming market data (orderbook, price charts, position P&L).
• Extend core trading UI components to web (React/TypeScript) where shared functionality is needed.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on gRPC, WebSocket, and FIX integrations powering live trading; contribute backend work (Go, Java, Scala) as needed.
• Partner with product and design to shape UX for crypto, equities, and prediction markets across mobile and web.
• Scope and implement solutions independently, making informed architecture decisions.
• Own projects end to end—from design to delivery—with cross-functional stakeholders.
