Job summary

Thales Group is seeking a Test Architect to lead automation for eSIM/eSE development, focusing on Android device integration, test benches, and a scalable automation framework. The role requires hands-on PoCs, robust scripting, and collaboration across R&D and engineering teams.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in embedded/test automation, strong C/C++, and experience with Robot Framework, PyTest, or JUnit, plus CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git workflows.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer/Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of software/hardware testing for embedded, mobile, telecom, or secure-element products.
• At least 3 years in test architecture or automation leadership.
• Ability to translate test strategy into working scripts and reusable libraries.

Responsibilities

• Analyze test benches, environments, and product firmware for automation needs.
• Design and implement a modular automation framework with reusable libraries and device control.
• Implement PoCs and reference flows for Android device setup, ADB/logcat, provisioning, and CI execution.
• Support Android platform and device debugging across multiple layers including firmware and lab setup.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and lab automation approaches.
• Introduce shift-left, automated regression/smoke suites, and traceability against requirements.
