Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Milling Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain milling machines for high-precision components. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in conventional milling and a strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T. This role also includes mentoring junior machinists, ensuring product quality, and improving machine efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of conventional milling experience in precision engineering.
  • GD&T knowledge.
  • Experience with conventional lathe machining is a plus.

  • Set up and operate conventional milling machines, conventional lathe machines according to technical drawings.
  • Perform machine adjustments, tooling setup, and operation.
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure tolerances are met.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and improve production efficiency.
  • Maintain machine cleanliness, safety, and basic preventive maintenance.
  • Guide and support junior machinists.
Requirements
  • Certificate/Diploma in Precision Engineering or Machining Technology.
  • 5+ years of conventional milling experience in precision engineering.
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
  • Good teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with conventional lathe machining is a plus.
