Job summary

A technology company in Singapore is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of electronic IoT products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, particularly within consumer electronics or IoT devices. Responsibilities include ensuring product compliance through engineering tests and collaborating with suppliers to meet specifications and cost targets. Candidates should possess a relevant degree and at least 3 years of experience in mechanical design.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in consumer electronics or IoT devices.
• Experience in full product development lifecycle: concept, prototyping, tooling, and production.
• Knowledge of IP-rated enclosures for waterproof/dustproof devices.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for design and development of IoT products.
• Perform engineering tests to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Work with suppliers to meet product and cost goals.

Skills

Mechanical design experience

Proficiency in Creo Elements/Pro or Solidworks

Thermal and structure analysis

Tolerance analysis and GD&T

Knowledge of prototyping techniques

Education

Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
