Job summary

A leading automation solutions company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design and develop high-precision automation equipment. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of design experience, proficiency in Solidworks, and knowledge of BOM preparation using SAP. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of automation equipment design experience.
• Proficient in the usage of Solidworks 3D or EPDM software.
• Experience in BOM preparation using SAP is highly preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-precision, advanced automation equipment.
• Analyze project requirements and contribute to concept development.
• Select and integrate standard components such as sensors, pneumatics, motors, servo axes, and robotics.
• Prepare bills of materials (BOM) using SAP for efficient project execution.
• Work closely with fabrication partners and component suppliers to ensure timely procurement and production.
• Guide assembly technicians in the construction and testing of equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers and customers to understand design specifications and requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines by working with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the project manager and leadership team

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineer or related field.
• At least 8 years of automation equipment design experience.
• Suitable candidate should be proficient in the usage of Solidworks 3D or EPDM software.
• Previous working experienc in selection of sensor components, pneumatic, mechanical components.
• Experience in BOM preparation using SAP is highly preferred.
