Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to assist in business development and M&A activities. The candidate will oversee project evaluations, conduct due diligence, and construct financial models. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with over 10 years of relevant experience is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential. This role offers an opportunity to lead negotiations and develop strategies for the group's asset portfolio.

  • Guide junior team members in project completion.
  • Drive internal programs for team development.
  • Coordinate group wide balance scorecard reporting.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders and JV partners.
  • Monitor market activities for necessary actions.

The Role

To assist in business development / M&A activities and assist in formulation of group’s strategy and internal evaluation of portfolio assets

Key accountabilities
  • Oversee project evaluation and assist to give recommendation to the management and Board on the M&A opportunity
  • Oversee due diligence of the M&A target, including financial, tax, legal, operations, IT or other aspects as required. Review the findings from due diligence and able to address the risks.
  • Review / construct financial model for evaluation of M&A opportunities. Assist in getting inputs from other internal departments for inputs of the financial model.
  • Review legal documents with support from internal and external legal counsel. Understands regulatory framework and able to build legal / regulatory considerations into deal structure
  • Lead/assist negotiation of commercial and legal terms with transaction counterparty
  • Prepare and present internal papers for project approval as required
  • Allocate appropriate work to junior members in the project team and guide them to completion
  • As a staffer, drive internal programs to offer development opportunities to team members in the talent resource pool. Achieve dual exposure of both BD and Ops for all talent resources.
  • Coordinate and oversee the group wide balance scorecard (BSC) target setting and quality/semi-annual/annual reporting
  • Assist in developing strategies for group assets portfolio to achieve the goal of the group
  • Maintain healthy relationship with JV partner, internal / external stakeholders to drive internal projects
  • Stay close to market activities and take action with external party when necessary
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Above 10 years of relevant experience in transactions/corporate finance
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Financial Modelling
