Job summary

Nanyang Technological University Singapore’s School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology seeks a dedicated Assistant Manager, Research & Partnership to support the Head of Research & Partnership. Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• Experience in research grant or project management is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of the research ecosystem.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support the Associate Chair (Research) and Head of Research & Partnership in administration and day-to-day operations of the Research and Partnership Office.
• Serve as the Unit Manpower Officer managing manpower budget allocations across multiple research grants to ensure alignment and compliance.
• Review payroll projections for research grants, including salaries, bonuses, SDL, and insurance costs.
• Approve manpower-related variation requests including hiring, contract renewals, and promotions with adequate funding.
• Coordinate seminars, industry engagements and events from planning to on-site execution.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver events aligned with school objectives.
• Coordinate institutional grant calls and nominations, ensuring timely submissions.
• Support faculty members throughout the research grant lifecycle.
• Manage research data management to ensure audit readiness.
