About The Role
The Senior Manager, Operations is responsible for the overall delivery and operations management of the company, reporting to the Director, Operations. This role ensures that all project operations deliverables are consistently met and implements operational improvements, and develops efficient methods to enhance coordination and productivity. It also provides guidance and coaching to Project Managers and project teams, supporting the company's delivery objectives and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Finance to address pertinent areas in terms of project profitability, budget adherence and performance issues
- Review, implement and manage relevant project operational processes, procedures and controls of the business line, consistent with the WSP’s strategies and values
- Partner with project managers (PMs) to improve operational efficiency, resolve execution challenges and drive business growth
- Support the roll out of new systems and project delivery initiatives, ensuring adoption of best practices and effective change management
- Monitor project performance and utilization, conduct periodic reviews of margins and budgets with responsible PMs, taking corrective actions where necessary
- Monitor and work with PMs on appropriate utilization of project software and identify opportunities for savings through responsible usage
- Determine manpower requirements and ensure optimal deployment of resources
- Maintain high level of technical and production quality standards, ensuring services meet WSP and client’s expectations
- Ensure operations comply with legal requirements and established regulations
- Responsible and committed to the development, implementation, communication and continual effectiveness of the SHEQ management system
- Enforce Risk Assessment, Ethics, Sustainability, and Corporate Social Responsibility values
- Strengthen PM’s competencies through targeted training and development programs
- Review effectiveness of risk management, compliance and ethnics procedures and work with HSEQ to develop new procedures where necessary
- Liaise with Global Risk, Ethnics and Compliance Officer (Asia Pacific) on corporate policies and queries where necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in operations management or leadership role
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and implementing successful process improvementsStrong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of industry regulatory rules and legislations
