Job Summary
The jobholder (2-year contract) supports and reports to Head of Department (HOD) of Digital Information Technology in developing and implementing Network Infrastructure, digital and information technology solutions for the organization. The Senior Manager is responsible in leading, driving and executing related tasks including daily IT Helpdesk operations focusing on network, cybersecurity, issuance of assets, provision of assets and services under the tower of Infrastructure support.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Project Management skills with a good knowledge of business process re-engineering and the ability to support an end user environment.
The candidate must demonstrate strong applicable experiences with helpdesk support services, network infrastructure, cybersecurity compliance and Software As a Service.
Someone with strong experiences in implementing and supporting end user environment is a plus.
Other duties include procurement, involvement in projects / CR implementation and events support implementation.
The incumbent is expected to work from between 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays. Although he/she is largely expected to work in an indoor environment, he may be required to work over weekends and public holidays to support organisation events.
Key Responsibility Areas
Strategic Planning and Management
- Strong knowledge on commercial cloud services monitoring or migration from on premises to the commercial cloud.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Platform As a Service.
- Work and monitor team to ensure the firewalls, mobile device management rules are configured to protect and operate effectively and efficiently.
- Work and resolve all IT Helpdesk assigned tickets are follow up, closed and resolved daily.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, SharePoint, One Drive and One Note and to provide necessary guidance to IT helpdesk and team supporting the functions.
- Work and ensure team submit all vendor payment are raised on time within the BC systems for Head of Department (HOD) approval.
- Responsible for corporate network infrastructure and cybersecurity hygiene and controls.
- Responsible for team admin access control is updated regularly and up to date.
- Responsible for corporate network, remote access availability for HQ office and satellites office to perform at acceptable agreed service level.
- Responsible to ensure vendor conduct daily health check on network stability and availability.
- Work with helpdesk and managed services vendor to conduct weekly incident management meeting and to ensure services are delivered as per agreed service level agreement.
- Review and draft IT infrastructure, security operational policies, standards and guidelines for HOD approval.
- Identify system enhancements and propose solutions to HOD and management team and liaise with vendors to execute enhancements.
Vendor and Contract Management
- Manage contracts’ documentation and vendor relationships.
- Manage vendors’ deliverables and service level agreements.
- Manage tender management for the procurement of vendor services.
- Responsible in contract renewal for services under the Infra Team which includes all DIT Assets, Broadband Services, Cybersecurity software services are on time for HOD approval.
- Supervise when vendors carrying out deployment or development tasks.
Financial Planning and Management
- Oversees and ensure that company IT assets are maintained regularly and tracked according to asset management system.
- Responsible in providing budget for department’s forecasting and budgeting activities within Infra team.
- Responsible for the assets budget outcomes to ensure proper utilisation and accounting of resources.
- Lead and drive monthly, quarterly stock take exercise and participate in yearly stock take event.
Team Leadership and Management
- Set goals and performance standards for direct reports.
- Mentor direct reports and provide feedback to support their personal and professional development.
- Conduct in-house briefing and training as required.
Others
Any other duties as assigned by the HOD.
Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of relevant professional IT experiences preferred.
- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent from any recognised institution.
- Relevant post-graduate and/or professional qualification is preferred.
- 8 years with Project Management experience preferred with ability to lead and drive independently from medium to large scale project. Preferably in the development, implementation and deployment of IT plans and activities.
- Familiar in Microsoft Office 365 platform, Software As a Service as it pertains to feature sets that integrate with Microsoft Dynamics solutions including SharePoint and OneDrive/OneNote.
- Familiar in setting up firewalls rules, mobile device management rules is crucial.
- Experience in Commercial Cloud services, preferably Azure, AWS Cloud platform is a plus.
- Experience in managing IT desktop support services and familiar with basic ITIL foundation model.
