Overview

A*STAR Human Resource (HR) Division's vision is to develop all staff to their fullest potential and to help them make meaningful contributions to their department, to the organisation and to Singapore. A*STAR HR aspires to provide valued HR services to attract, develop, motivate and retain the best talent to help A*STAR achieve its mission.

The HR Division comprises the Recruitment, HR Planning and Policy, Talent Management, HR Analytics, HR Operations, HR Partners and People Development & Planning Office departments.

The HR Policy unit drives the direction and development of HR policies to ensure market relevance and competitiveness.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in the following key areas of work:

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to meet organisational needs, keep pace with the market and ensure alignment with national directives.
  • Engage key stakeholders in the design and review of policies to ensure buy-in, robustness, coherence and implementability before effecting change.
  • Build awareness of policies and procedures and ensure compliance across the organisation through various platforms, e.g. staff townhalls, EDMs and circulars.
  • Promote desirable behaviours, values and ethics based on expected standards of conduct.
  • Manage disciplinary cases, including reviewing investigation outcomes and recommending disciplinary action.
Job Requirements
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in HR
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to translate concepts into implementation plans
  • Resourceful and motivated
  • Able to work independently and in a team to deliver results under tight timelines
  • Pro-active, attentive to details and results-oriented
