Job summary

The Ministry of Trade and Industry seeks a technically hands-on role to help build Singapore’s space operations capabilities. You will work across the Space Situational Awareness Operations Centre, Space Multi-Agency Operations Centre, and Earth Observation Hub—contributing to how Singapore acquires, processes, and delivers Earth Observation data and intelligence.

This role requires 4+ years in data analytics or related fields, with strong collaboration skills and experience in secure data

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in data exploitation, data analytics, database management, software development and/or cloud infrastructure deployment.
• Familiarity with government security requirements and secure data environments.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the technical execution of the Singapore Space Operations Hub across end-to-end Earth Observation data lifecycle.
• Deliver EO data and products to stakeholders through the Space Multi-Agency Operations Centre.
• Design and develop data processing pipelines, analytical tools, and reporting systems.
• Support decision-making by developing robust data solutions for NSAS and partners.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans for diverse stakeholders.

Job description

What the role is:

The job holder will play a key role in building Singapore’s space operations capabilities as part of the Singapore Space Operations Hub. You will work across the Space Situational Awareness Operations Centre, the Space Multi-Agency Operations Centre, and the Earth Observation Hub – contributing to how Singapore acquires, processes, and delivers Earth Observation data and actionable intelligence to government agencies and partners. This is a technically hands‑on role that also requires strategic thinking, as you will help shape data solutions that turn raw space operations data into actionable insights for Singapore’s growing space ecosystem.

What you will be working on:

• Support the technical execution of the Singapore Space Operations Hub, covering the end-to-end lifecycle of Earth Observation data from acquisition and processing to delivery
• Deliver Earth Observation data and products to stakeholders within NSAS, government users, and NSAS partners through the Space Multi-Agency Operations Centre
• Design and develop data processing pipelines, analytical tools, and reporting systems that transform raw space operations data into actionable intelligence
• Support decision-making across Singapore’s space ecosystem by developing robust data solutions for NSAS, government agencies, and partners
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans for diverse stakeholders

What we are looking for:

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in data exploitation, data analytics, database management, software development and/or cloud infrastructure deployment
• Familiarity with government security requirements and secure data environments
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to think strategically, gather requirements, scope solutions, and align stakeholders to ensure technical solutions are grounded in practical business needs
• Experience in satellite mission control software, space systems, orbital analysis tools, geospatial information systems, and/or space weather monitoring is a plus
• Experience in programme development and management is a plus
