Job Description

As the Finance Analyst at A*STAR, you will play a critical FP&A role in the financial planning and analysis functions across the organization. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights, supporting decision‑making processes, and ensuring the financial health of A*STAR.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely and insightful financial updates and reporting to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Drive cost and operational excellence through deep technical expertise, data analysis and business partnership.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision making (revenue and expenditure forecasting, cash flow analysis, scenario planning etc.)
• Analyse large datasets, identify trends and perform variance analysis with financial software proficiency (SAP, Tableau, Power BI, Anaplan, Jedox or other similar platforms)
• Interpret financial data and provide actionable insights for solutioning in a collaborative manner, with ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, concise recommendations for non‑financial audiences.
• Support ad‑hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

Job Requirements

• Preferably with a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent)
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills (e.g. business partnering experience)
• Knowledge of data analytics and data visualization tools is advantageous
• Able to work independently and in a team to deliver outcomes in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment
