A leading technology organization in Singapore is seeking an experienced IT Manager to drive strategic improvements and oversee IT operations. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years in IT management, proven leadership abilities, and broad IT knowledge. Responsibilities include managing IT governance, overseeing project lifecycles, and ensuring cybersecurity practices. Review the organization's IT set up and strategize and implement improvements for growth, group wide-effectiveness and optimal cost efficiency
Implement approved strategies and policies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and digital transformation goals
Establish and enforce IT Governance, Standard, Infrastructure, Applications Architecture and Methodologies across the Group
Prepare overall IT budget and performance objectives through defined metrics for approvals
Lead, motivate, and develop IT teams to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement
Provide insights and recommendations on technology innovation, system enhancements, and digital transformation initiatives
Manage full lifecycle of IT projects from planning through implementation
Select, acquire and manage software, hardware and IT service providers in collaboration with respective IT managers
Optimize the balance between in-house and outsourced IT services and systems to achieve cost efficiency and service quality
Align IT risk management with enterprise-wide risk management to ensure timely resolution and minimal business disruption
Ensure robust IT risk management, data protection, and cybersecurity practices aligned with enterprise-wide risk frameworks
Work and collaborate with internal and external cybersecurity functions to ensure optimal security of the group’s IT systems
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and propose solutions to improve business processes and system performance
At least a Bachelor Degree in a Computing Discipline.
Broad commercial experience in a multinational and multicultural environment
Exposure to plantation/commodity trading/export and manufacturing environment is advantageous
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT management, with senior management or HOD-level experience
Proven track record in driving and implementing IT infrastructure, applications and software development
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain good relationship at senior level of the organization and influence key stakeholders
Ability to manage complex projects, budgets and vendor relationships
Extensive knowledge of IT trends, technologies and applications
Ability to lead, develop and motivate people to achieve high performance
Leadership qualities with the ability and potential to assume wider responsibilities in the future
