Job description
About the National Robotics Programme Office (NRPO)

The National Robotics Programme Office (NRPO) catalises differentiated robotics R&D capabilities at our Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and Research Institutes (RIs) for the benefit of Singapore's economy and society. We foster public private partnerships to ensure that robotics technologies and IPs developed with public funding are industry relevant and translated into products, services and solutions adopted locally and globally.

At the same time, NRPO connects end users across industries with robotics companies, and works with partner agencies to grow the supply side ecosystem including system integrators, robot vendors, software providers and component suppliers. By strengthening both demand and supply, NRPO enhances Singapore's robotics R&D capabilities, supports the commercialisation of publicly funded technologies, and helps local robotics companies innovate, differentiate and scale in global markets.

About RoboNexus

RoboNexus is NRPO's platform dedicated to accelerating the growth of Singapore based robotics startups and SMEs. It connects innovators with end users, corporates, investors and researchers, and provides targeted programmes to help local companies scale globally.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to support RoboNexus, working closely with NRPO leadership and partners to strengthen Singapore's robotics innovation ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy and Execution
    • Support Director/DD Industry and Partnerships in developing and implementing strategies to advance NRPO objectives and initiatives such as RoboNexus.
    • Organise and execute events, showcases and delegations (local and overseas) to highlight Singapore's robotics ecosystem and foster collaborations.
  • Ecosystem Development
    • Establish and manage RoboNexus as a focal point for Singapore based robotics startups and SMEs.
    • Engage and onboard partners including corporates, investors, IHLs/RIs and agencies to contribute to RoboNexus programmes and initiatives.
    • Build and strengthen NRPO's network of seasoned entrepreneurs, industry experts and mentors to support startups.
  • Company Engagement
    • Identify promising robotics startups and SMEs in Singapore and connect them with resources, pilots and growth opportunities.
    • Develop and manage a structured process for selecting and matching companies to initiatives that accelerate their scaling journey.
    • Work with international and local partners to secure collaborations, pilot projects and commercialisation pathways.
  • Administrative and Operational Excellence
    • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting and follow up for initiatives, meetings and projects.
    • Oversee procurement, budgeting and internal approval processes with diligence and attention to detail.
    • Maintain clear records, timelines and deliverables to support smooth execution of RoboNexus programmes.
Requirements
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in robotics, deep tech or adjacent industries.
  • Familiarity with startups, innovation programmes or accelerator initiatives is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders including industry, government and academia.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen understanding of industry and technology trends.
  • Meticulous with an eye for detail, particularly in managing administrative, financial and operational processes.
  • Self-driven team player who can plan ahead, manage multiple priorities and maintain effectiveness in dynamic situations.
