Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on GST treatment for business transactions, including cross-border and new arrangements.
• Assist clients with GST registrations, exemptions, import schemes, and rulings.
• Review and e-file GST returns and statements to IRAS.
• Conduct GST health checks, ASK reviews, and ACAP reviews to assess compliance.
• Assist clients in preparing responses to IRAS queries.

Description

We are looking to hire Senior Managerlevel candidates (depending on experience) in our Tax Practice in Singapore. Our Tax Practice covers all aspects of tax advisory services in Asia, including M&A tax due diligence, tax structuring, and compliance services, general tax advisory services etc. This position will lead and/or execute a diverse range of complex assignments as well as provide advice on cross-border transactions. The candidate will also work closely with our Transaction Advisory Group and Private Equity Performance Improvement Group to provide integrated due diligence to the world’s largest and most high profile corporate, private equity and financial investors.

How you will contribute

• Advise client on the GST treatment applicable to their business transactions, including new business arrangement and cross border transactions.
• Assist clients with various GST related applications, such as GST registration, GST exemption, GST import schemes, and applications for GST rulings.
• Review and e-file clients’ GST returns and Statement of Claims prior to submission to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).
• Conduct Assisted Self-Help Kit (ASK) reviews, Assisted Compliance Assurance Programme (ACAP) reviews and GST health check to assess GST compliance.
• Assist client in preparing and drafting response to IRAS queries.
