Job summary

A leading agricultural corporation in Singapore is seeking an experienced finance professional to coordinate financial operations and reporting across subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in finance or accounting, particularly in the rubber manufacturing or chemical production fields. Proficiency in Mandarin and English is crucial for communication with headquarters and various stakeholders. This role offers an opportunity to lead financial strategies while ensuring compliance with group policies.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in Finance and accounting, preferably in rubber manufacturing or chemical production industries.
  • Degree in Finance & Accounting and qualifications in CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Language proficiency in Mandarin and English is required.

  • Perform in-depth analyses of the Profit Centre's performance.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Key person responsible for coordinating with local CFOs / Finance Controllers and aligning subsidiaries with the Group’s directions.
  • Perform critical and in-depth analyses of the Profit Centre’s operational performance, cost control, working capital, asset and cash flow management.
  • Review the monthly closings and reports from subsidiaries to ensure compliance with Group reporting requirements.
  • Prepare consolidated accounts of a sub-Group, including foreign currency translation and accounting for non-controlling interests.
  • Provide valuable financial and non-financial insights and recommendations to drive financial excellence.
  • Lead Group audit procedures, including impairment assessments (SFRS 36) and biological assets valuations (SFRS 41).
  • Collaborate with subsidiaries on budgeting process and KPI monitoring.
  • Control and mitigate key risks, including risk of material misstatement in financial reporting and any other risks that threaten value protection and creation.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Group financial control policies/guidelines by subsidiaries.
  • Any other ad-hoc matters assigned.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in Finance and accounting (experience in Big 4 Audit firms, and in rubber manufacturing or chemical production industries)
  • Degree in Finance & Accounting. Qualification in Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations would be added advantages
  • Language proficiency in Mandarin and English is required (both spoken and written for the correspondence with China and Singapore headquarter), ability to communicate in French would be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge in accounting, costing, taxation and internal control.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills. High level of written and oral communication skills in English is expected.
  • High integrity with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven management skill in a group of companies.
  • Leadership skills and potentials. Experience in partnering with Executive team is expected.
  • PC literate and able to use Microsoft Office software packages.
  • Resourceful and energetic, with an eye for details on strategic matters.
  • Able to work independently as well as being a team-player with strong commitment to department/company harmony.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet the demands of the job.
