We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Manager, Business Management (Private Client). Reporting to the Head of Private Client, Singapore, this is a full time and permanent position based in Singapore.
Key responsibilities:
General Description
Put in place / update (as applicable) and implement policies and procedures considering regulatory changes and/or Vistra Group requirements.
Source of support and information to Board and Senior Management (“BSM”) relating to the VISTRA’s business and to ensure adherence to regulations.
Put in place a tracking mechanism to lodge and track remediation of risk issues (self-identified, or those arising from regulatory/external/internal audits) and provide periodic status update to VISTRA Board and Senior Management (“BSM”).
Follow-up with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion of outstanding issues (e.g., Periodic Reviews, deficiencies identified from Compliance sample testing, Audits findings).
Assist with management reporting, compiling of data for regulatory and/or risk management purposes (e.g., BSM, Group Executive Committee).
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of VISTRA related information submitted to fulfill regulatory obligations and/or VISTRA BSM’s responsibilities for risk management oversight.
Act as the Governance Officer for various VISTRA BSM committee meetings.
Manage the completion of all compliance and risk management issues / projects including the follow up and resolution of open issues in partnership with Trust Management (“TM”) and Business Development (“BD”) teams.
Support the business in relation to Common Reporting Standards (“CRS”) and Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (“FATCA”) reporting.
Provide support for the BM function in other Vistra Group entities.
Act as the Data Protection Officer and provide support in ensuring VISTRA adheres to Personal Data Protection requirements.
Assist with various ad-hoc administrative matters.
Regulatory
To assist BSM to ensure that VISTRA’s standards adhered to that of Regulator, Group Compliance and Local Compliance.
Governance Officer for VISTRA BSM’s conduct of affairs with the Regulator.
To maintain an overview of all ongoing matters relating to Regulations, tracking them to timely completion.
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of VISTRA related information submitted to fulfill regulatory obligations.
Assist with management reporting and compiling of data for regulatory purposes.
Provide support in ensuring VISTRA adheres to the Personal Data Protection regulations as well as acting as the Data Protection Officer for VISTRA.
Support the business in relation to Common Reporting Standards (“CRS”) and Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (“FATCA”) reporting which includes the review of client self-certification forms.
Governance
Monitor, track and report to Senior Management on the completion of all KPIs and KRIs. Reports are to be furnished on a quarter basis and/or as requested by Board and Senior Management (“BSM”). E.g.: Periodic Review, SOWF completion, Transaction Monitoring, various Registers etc.
Assist in the process improvement and enhanced management of VISTRA's trust business including the identification of new and emerging gaps, risks or inconsistencies for escalation and resolution.
Design performance matrix to track the Key Risk Indicators (“KRIs”) of VISTRA.
Design the performance matrix to track Key Performance Indexes (“KPIs”) for VISTRA.
Governance Officer for various VISTRA Board and Senior Management committee meetings, responsible for the collation of papers, issuing of meeting agenda and supporting documents, servicing meetings, production of minutes and following up on action points.
Governance Officer for VISTRA BSM’s conduct of affairs with Internal Auditor and External Auditor.
Assist with the review and assessment of VISTRA's outsourcing arrangements which includes onsite reviews and drafting of review report.
Assist with management reporting and compiling of data for risk management purposes.
Assist in management reporting on key issues and questions raised from Trust Managers and Business Development and to escalate any review exceptions timely to management and relevant parties.
Remediation
Put in place a tracking mechanism to lodge and track remediation of risk issues (self-identified, or those arising from regulatory/external/internal audits) and provide periodic status update to BSM and Group Executive Committee.
Administrative
Assist with administrative matters (e.g., update of authorized signatories, scheduling of meetings, execution of agreements, consolidation of Guidances/SOPs/Policies, recording of training attendances etc.).
Assist in the tracking of completion of ad-hoc projects.
Key requirements:
At least 7-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in Business Management, Compliance, or Audit
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, with a focus on driving high performance and ensuring operational excellence and strong stakeholder management skills
In-depth knowledge of trust regulatory and compliance regime in both Singapore and Hong Kong
Strong work ethics, professional, approachable, results oriented
Proficient in English, both written and spoken
