The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity on our APAC Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) team for a Senior Programs & Operations Hub APAC, located in Singapore. In this role, you will provide direct oversight for complex elements of Abbott’s compliance program in the APAC region (Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Australia and New Zealand). You will be responsible for overseeing the OEC’s compliance key program elements, including but not limited to communications, training, systems management, data analytics, risk management, and monitoring. Additionally, you will direct and manage the APAC analysts.

What You’ll Do

The Senior OEC Manager performs the following with moderate supervision from OEC leadership (e.g. APAC Ethics and Compliance Officer).

  • Ensure Monitoring planning, execution and reporting for APAC with the two analysts reporting to them.
  • Deliver results and analysis to the ECO & local OEC.
  • Serving as SME for APAC on Monitoring and HighBond, ensure consistency with global guidance, standardization and simplification in the region.
  • Data consolidation and analytics. Analysis of data taking advantage of PBI Dashboards available, identification of risk and outliers, delivering reports and sharing analysis conclusions with the ECO & local OEC.
  • Communications development based on a strategic plan with local OEC, looking for synergies and consistency, overseeing the creation of materials or leveraging what is already available. Including be the APAC point of contact for the annual Compliance Week activities.
  • Training plan development, execution and oversight based on a strategic plan with local OEC, looking for synergies and consistency, creating and/or taking advantage of existing materials.
  • Streamline policy updates for the region.
  • Support regional division business teams on business consulting and reports on monitoring and other elements of the program.
  • Oversee systems implementation and management for the APAC region.
  • Accountable to the APAC Ethics and Compliance Officer.
  • Assigned program, operations matters & business units have significant impact to Abbott's Compliance Program.
  • Operates with autonomy and limited supervision.
  • Responsible for directing and managing two APAC analysts for the APAC region.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) is required.
  • Advanced degree such as MBA, Masters, JD, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience, with exposure to business functions such as compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, governmental affairs, and finance.
  • Experience working in life sciences industry, preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite including but not limited to Excel file management, PowerPoint presentations.
  • Experience with data analytics. May include building, iterating, and managing reports and/or dashboards in relevant systems such as PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Must have strong English written and verbal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels.
  • Oral and/or written proficiency in other Asian languages, a plus.
