Job summary

Ricardo Consultancy and Talent Staffing Pte. Ltd. invites applications for a Mainframe Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain critical IBM mainframe applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

You will manage storage solutions, install and support mainframe software, participate in DR planning, and collaborate with global teams across the SDLC to deliver reliable, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in MIS, CS, CE, or IT.
• IBM mainframe/storage infrastructure certifications preferred.
• Experience with DFSMS, DFHSM/HSM, DSS, DFP and VSAM.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; able to work in teams.
• 5+ years in mainframe systems, storage engineering, or related infrastructure roles.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise storage solutions and migrations.
• Install, configure, and support IBM mainframe software and storage-management technologies (DFSMS, DFHSM/HSM, TDMS).
• Install and optimize operating systems and system software in the mainframe environment.
• Support IBM z/OS and MVS environments and related IBM utilities.
• Process storage change requests and align with technical requirements.
• Conduct technical problem analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and operations.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders across the SDLC.
• Improve storage performance, capacity, availability, and efficiency.
• Review software requirements and contribute to technical direction.
