A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Senior M&E Coordinator to manage and execute M&E works on-site. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Mechanical & Electrical services, preferably involving PPVC construction. Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical & Electrical services from an A1 main contractor.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Able to work independently and as a team player in a fast and dynamic work environment.

Job description

The Senior M&E Coordinator (Construction) is responsible for the coordination and execution of all M&E works at site in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities
  • Understand contract requirements and M&E specifications to monitor progress, quality of workmanship, and compliance with project requirements and construction schedule
  • Liaise with design consultants on the design intent
  • Coordinate with in-house architectural & structural team to minimize discrepancies
  • Check and prepare material samples with shop drawing submission
  • Chair M&E coordination meetings
  • Prepare M&E coordination drawings and liaise with Architectural Coordinators and Design Engineers for drawing issuance
  • Assess, prepare and submit progress claims for project consultants & subcontractors
  • Coordinate and assist site superintendent on installation and maintenance of site temporary utilities services
  • Adhere to safety practices in the workplace

  • Understand and participate in the implementation of Virtual Design Construction (VDC) concept
Job Requirements
  • Preferably with a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical & Electrical services from an A1 main contractor
  • Candidate with PPVC construction experience is most preferred
  • Candidate with full-cycle experience in condo residential, mixed development, or data center projects would have an added advantage
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Exhibit good character of strength, willing to learn and resourceful
  • Good stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Good organizational, administrative and time management skills
  • Able to work independently and as a team player in a fast and dynamic work environment
