What You Will Do
- Lead the Warehouse/Logistics/Kitting team to achieve safety, people, quality, on-time delivery and cost metrics.
- Manage logistics flow within and between sites, always maintaining safe operations and regulatory compliance to support material availability.
- Develop, monitor, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), with visual management at the shop floor level.
- Administer and maintain logistics shipping documentation in line with audit and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Lead turnback resolution, drive root cause and corrective action (RCCA), establish robust standard work, that empowers the team to deliver consistent, reliable results.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement, driving an engaged multi-skilled team.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, HR, and external vendors to deliver business goals.
- Champion compliance with CORE, EH&S, Ethics, Global Trade and Quality standards, embedding best practices in daily operations.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics, inventory management, kitting or a related supply chain role.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment.
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and warehouse management systems.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to address operational challenges effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across teams and with stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Relevant aircraft engine workshop practices and maintenance & repair of gas turbine engines.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices, continuous improvement initiatives, or Six Sigma methodologies.
