Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with the use of automation machines in the Unit Dose Packaging Pharmacy as part of Inpatient Pharmacy Automation System. Perform medication repackaging and quality checks in accordance with repackaging procedures.
  • Receive, unpack and check stocks against the appropriate documents, to ensure that items supplied are correct and accounted for.
  • Arrange stocks in FEFO order
  • Perform stock receipts and issues/ transfers in the inventory systems
  • Assist in replenishing, monitoring and maintaining inventory of stocks and consumables in the Unit Dose Packaging Pharmacy
  • Liaise with external vendors to coordinate outsourced repackaging schedule
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the pharmacy work areas and prepare work areas for daily operations
  • Assist in orientating and training new staff assigned to the section
  • Assist the Unit Dose Packaging (UDP) Pharmacy In Charge in ensuring the smooth running of UDP operations, including manpower allocation, production job planning, handling enquiries from wards and perform simple troubleshooting of the automation machines.
  • Assist in processing of medication orders for inpatient and outpatient dispensing and supplies as necessary
  • Support the hospital by participating actively in the various activities organized by the hospital. Activities include QC, community projects, staff welfare and recreational activities and etc
  • Other duties directed by the supervisors

Requirements

  • Possess at least a GCE 'N' or 'O' levels
  • Basic customer service skills
