Job summary

Job description
Job Summary

This position is located in Singapore and is a member of the LNG Marketing and Shipping Department supporting the Mozambique LNG Project operated by TotalEnergies. This position reports directly to the General Manager, Marketing.

The job holder will create, run, interpret economic models, analyze marketing information and drive the identification and the roll out internally of the software and tools required by LNG Marketing & Shipping for the scheduling, optimization, shipping and contract management of the LNG to be produced by the Mozambique LNG Project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze market data (supply/demand, contracts, prices, competition) and developments in relation to LNG and condensates.
  • Develop and draft internal and external market reporting (Quarterly Report) to Partners and Government of Mozambique, create presentation for management (industry conferences) and Partners (Operating Committee, Marketing SubCommitee of Mozambique LNG Project).
  • Update existing and create new ad-hoc modelling (profit share, netback, shortfall, window periods, start up).
  • Carry economic analysis of key marketing decisions including but not limited to new mid-term or long-LNG SPAs, commercial start date of the Project, ad-hoc commercial arrangements with LNG Foundation Buyers.
  • Provide appropriate input and guidance to the Marketing team during the negotiation process of any new and existing SPAs/MSPAs or in relation to commercial operations and contract management.
  • Analyse and ensure LNG Marketing assumptions are aligned with the Project (Operations, Planning) and TotalEnergies headquarters (Long-Term Plan, GRP, SEC reserves booking).
  • Coordinate and streamline requirements from Marketing & Shipping functions to identify operation tools and software to be implemented internally within Marketing & Shipping for LNG scheduling, optimization, shipping and contracts management.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience in LNG or natural gas, with preference for analytical experience within an IOC, LNG Supplier, Energy infrastructure Company or an energy consulting company. Specific experience and expertise in the following is required:

  • Advanced Excel modelling, PowerPoint and Communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • High attention to detail and skilled in working with databases.
  • Ability to evaluate economic changes to terms and conditions during negotiations.
  • Knowledge and experience of software and tools for LNG scheduling, optimization, shipping and contract management. Planning and implementation LNG experience is highly desired.
  • Ability to interact with other work groups within Marketing & Shipping and the Project (Finance, Legal, Operations and IT).
Education

Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Statistics, Finance, Economics or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
