Qualifications

• 6+ years of Unix administration in on-premises environments.
• Strong Linux administration knowledge and experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Background in High Availability and virtualization technologies.
• Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL frameworks is a plus.
• Proven ability to improve performance measurement and reporting in a large org.
• Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams with delivery focus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong expertise in RHEL system administration, including installation, configuration, hardening, and lifecycle management of Linux servers for security, performance, and high availability.
• Design, implement, and manage Linux clustering solutions (Pacemaker) and GPFS SpectrumScale for HA, scalability, and performance in on‑prem environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Linux infrastructure covering compute, storage (GPFS), networking, and security components.
• Develop and maintain Ansible-based configuration management for provisioning, configuration, patching, and standard tasks.
• Create, maintain automation playbooks and scripts with Ansible to streamline deployments and cluster operations.
• Collaborate with application, middleware, and storage teams to ensure GPFS storage integrates with business apps.
• Ensure Linux systems and clustering environments comply with internal security policies and industry standards.
• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance, patching, upgrades, and hardening activities.
• Provide day-to-day Linux admin and operations support, including 24x7 standby/on‑call rotation.
• Maintain up-to-date system, cluster, and configuration documentation.
