An esteemed fine arts academy in Singapore is seeking a qualified individual to oversee postgraduate teaching and course management. The ideal candidate possesses a PhD and has at least 10 years of university-level teaching experience. Responsibilities include course delivery, curriculum development, and student supervision. The ideal candidate should possess a PhD in a relevant field, with a strong record of professional practice and research, and at least 10 years of teaching experience at the university level or within the contemporary art and/or design industry. A proven ability to work across disciplines and a demonstrated interest or portfolio focused on the Southeast Asia context are essential.
Candidates must show a track record in research, knowledge exchange, or professional practice that advances Fine Art and aligns with the Academy’s goals. Effective and innovative pedagogical methods for postgraduate teaching are required, along with a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusivity in all aspects of teaching, assessment, and feedback.
Strong communication skills in English and proficiency in a second language are necessary. The role also demands a positive, enthusiastic, and inspiring approach to student engagement, as well as the ability to collaborate respectfully and effectively within diverse professional teams.
