Job summary

A leading financial services firm in Singapore is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to drive transformation across the FX Derivatives domain. This role requires expertise in business analysis, stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of FX trade lifecycles. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in capital markets and familiarity with systems like Murex and SQL. Competitive salary package offered, including SG$200 - 250k base plus bonuses.

Job description
The Lead Business Analyst (FX Derivatives) will be responsible for driving business and technology transformation across the FX Derivatives domain for one of our Swiss Banking clients. This role involves partnering with Front Office, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver solutions that optimise trading workflows, support new product development, regulatory changes, and enhance risk and pricing systems.
The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of FX Derivatives and associated trade lifecycle processes, combined with strong analytical, stakeholder management, and delivery skills.
What You’ll Do
  • Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

    • Lead end-to-end business analysis across the FX Derivatives product suite (Options, NDFs, Swaps, Structured FX).
    • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for system enhancements or new implementations.
    • Conduct impact analysis across trading, risk, and operations platforms.
  • Stakeholder Management

    • Act as the primary liaison between Front Office traders, Quant, Technology, Operations, and Risk teams.
    • Facilitate workshops to understand business challenges and define solution options.
    • Provide business and functional leadership to other BAs and project teams.
  • Product & Process Optimisation

    • Partner with Front Office and Operations to optimise trade capture, pricing, booking, and lifecycle processes.
    • Support initiatives around electronic trading, trade automation, and straight-through processing (STP).
    • Contribute to design and testing of new pricing or risk management tools.
  • Project Delivery

    • Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with PMs.
    • Prepare business cases, functional specifications, and user acceptance test plans.
    • Oversee testing phases and ensure successful delivery and adoption of solutions.
  • Regulatory & Risk Change

    • Work on compliance-related initiatives such as MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, or equivalent.
    • Support market and credit risk initiatives impacting FX Derivatives.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: 8+ years of Business Analysis experience in Capital Markets, with at least 5 years in FX Derivatives (Front Office or Middle Office).

  • Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of FX Options, NDFs, Forwards, Swaps, and associated pricing/risk management concepts.

  • Technical Proficiency

    • Hands‑on experience with trade capture systems (e.g., Murex, Calypso, Summit, Front Arena, or proprietary platforms).
    • Strong SQL and data analysis skills; understanding of APIs and integration workflows.
    • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Domain Knowledge: Solid grasp of trade lifecycle, market data, risk management, and post‑trade processing.

  • Soft Skills

    • Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to influence and coordinate across multiple business and technology teams.
    • Leadership experience managing small teams or mentoring junior analysts.
What You Bring

  • CFA, FRM, or relevant financial certification preferred.
  • Experience working in top‑tier investment banks, FX trading firms, or global markets technology teams.
