Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field.
  • 3–5 years of laboratory operations or related technical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment and supporting automated test systems.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and make sound operational decisions.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring laboratory personnel.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement knowledge is preferred.
  • Proficient with standard computer applications and laboratory systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily laboratory operations, including sample handling, testing activities, equipment management, and quality documentation.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment, automated systems, and test fixtures.
  • Perform routine maintenance and ensure equipment meets safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Record, review, and maintain laboratory data and support documentation.
  • Assist with laboratory planning, equipment procurement, and budget activities.
  • Support validation of new or updated test methods and laboratory processes.
  • Train and mentor laboratory personnel on equipment, systems, and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to improve laboratory efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with UL policies, safety standards, and security requirements.
