What the role is

The Laboratory Officer will perform essential laboratory operations, conduct analytical testing, and contribute to quality assurance programmes. This role offers opportunities to develop technical expertise whilst supporting critical laboratory functions in a collaborative environment.

What you will be working on
  • Conduct routine analytical testing using various laboratory instruments and methodologies
  • Participate actively in quality assurance initiatives, including method validation and equipment calibration verification
  • Contribute to laboratory administrative functions including inventory management and data compilation
  • Support process improvement initiatives and implementation of new procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation of all laboratory activities
  • Adhere to safety protocols and laboratory best practices at all times
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth laboratory operations
What we are looking for
  • Background in Chemistry or related scientific discipline
  • Previous laboratory experience with analytical instrumentation (spectrophotometers, chromatography systems, or similar equipment preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management capabilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
