Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific is seeking a Senior Backend Developer with Java/Spring Boot expertise to work in a complex integration environment in Singapore. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs, collaborating with product owners and business users.

You will coordinate across upstream and downstream systems, drive technical discussions, and support production issues with AMS teams. The role requires proactive clarification of requirements and end-to-end ownership of features.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and system integration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Proactively work with PO/BU teams to clarify business requirements, identify gaps, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Coordinate with multiple upstream and downstream systems to clarify interfaces, dependencies, data flows, and integration impacts.
• Drive technical discussions across multiple stakeholders, follow up on open points, and ensure clear alignment before and during implementation.
• Work closely with AMS/support teams for production issue investigation, handover, and operational support.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Use Splunk for application monitoring, log analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigation.
• Support releases and troubleshoot complex issues across integrated systems.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, and continuous improvement of development practices.
