Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Application Maintenance Engineer to support and enhance mission-critical payment platforms within a large enterprise banking environment. The role involves production support, defect remediation, deployment, and continuous improvement for Java-based, API-driven applications. Candidates should have at least 6 years of experience in application maintenance, a degree in Computer Science, and strong skills in Java and Spring Boot. Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in application maintenance/production support.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Hands-on knowledge of FIS OPF for troubleshooting, deployment, or support.
• Experience working with SQL/relational databases.
• Strong experience in incident & problem management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills to work with business users and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis for application and connectivity incidents.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across application and middleware layers.
• Prioritize defects and plan fixes aligned to production releases.
• Develop and enhance programs using Java/Spring Boot/APIs.
• Support SIT, UAT and production deployments.
• Ensure production stability and defect closure KPIs.
• Collaborate with QA, Development, and Operations teams.
• Deploy, verify, and upgrade applications.
