Role Purpose

Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist will serve as the primary technical lead for desktop and end-user infrastructure within the Banking and Financial Services (BFS) environment. You will be the single point of contact for rapid service restoration while proactively managing a diverse fleet of Windows and macOS devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tier2.5 Infrastructure Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex user issues, triaging incidents across infrastructure, database, and application layers.
  • Hybrid Device Management: Manage and maintain the Desktop Standard Operating Environment (SOE) for both Windows and macOS fleets using enterprise-grade MDM solutions.
  • Proactive System Monitoring: Perform daily proactive health checks of the infrastructure and 40+ core business applications to prevent downtime.
  • Migration & Project Leadership: Lead and support critical IT projects, including large-scale OS migrations (e.g., Windows 10/11) and hardware refresh cycles.
  • UAM & Compliance: Manage User Access Management (UAM) and ensure all support activities align with ITIL V3/V4 frameworks and strict banking regulatory standards.
Technical Skills & Requirements
  • MDM Expertise: Proven experience in managing application deployments and device policies via JAMF (macOS) and Microsoft Intune (Windows/Mobile).
  • Advanced Monitoring Tools: High proficiency in enterprise monitoring suites such as ITRS Geneos and job scheduling tools like Autosys for batch monitoring.
  • Scripting & Automation: Ability to automate routine health checks and deployments using Shell Scripting, PowerShell, and YAML (Ansible).
  • Middleware Knowledge: Basic administration and troubleshooting of middleware platforms, specifically IBM WebSphere and Apache Tomcat.
  • Domain Knowledge: 10+ years of experience in a Production Support or Deskside Support role within the Banking/Finance sector.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Certification: ITIL Foundation Certification is mandatory.
Platform Experience

Strong familiarity with multi‑OS environments (Linux, Windows, macOS).
