Job summary

Horizon Quantum seeks a Senior IT Infrastructure & Systems Support Specialist to oversee Linux/Windows server admin, HPC compute nodes, data center operations, IAM, and end-user support. You will manage backups, security, networking, and device management across the org.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in system administration and a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with hands-on experience in HPC environments and strong communication skills for power users and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years of combined experience in system administration and IT infra.
• Hands-on Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows Server admin experience.
• Strong networking knowledge: VPN, Wi‑Fi, firewalls, IAM.
• Experience with data center operations, backups, and DR planning.
• Vendor management and procurement experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Data Center & AI Infrastructure Operations: Administer Linux/Windows nodes, patching, and performance tuning.
• Oversee data center safety, rack setups, power/cooling, and preventative maintenance.
• System backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and capacity planning.
