Job summary

Singapore Health Services Pte Ltd (SingHealth HQ) invites an experienced IP professional to join SingHealth Intellectual Property (SHIP). You will evaluate disclosures for patentability and commercial potential, collaborate with inventors and patent agents to draft and file patent applications, and manage an active portfolio by addressing Patent Office actions.

You will negotiate IP agreements and assist translational funding with IP input.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or related scientific/engineering field (postgraduate preferred).
• Candidates with a Law degree and relevant experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate invention disclosures for patentability and commercial potential with inventors and patent agents.
• Draft and file patent applications to protect healthcare innovations.
• Prosecute and maintain active patent portfolio by responding to Patent Office actions.
• Review commercialisation strategies and advise on intellectual property sections in translational funding proposals.
• Negotiate and manage IP agreements including collaboration, material transfer, and non-disclosure agreements.
• Identify potential licensees, conduct due diligence, benchmark technology value, and structure licence deals.
