Job summary

Grab is seeking a technical leader for the PAX iOS app, responsible for defining architecture, standards, and AI foundations to accelerate development safely at scale. You will mentor engineers, set coding principles, and partner with stakeholders from ideation through rollout.

The role emphasizes strong AI fundamentals, a deep iOS background, and a track record of delivering scalable mobile platforms with robust observability and deployment practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in iOS development.
• Strong command of AI fundamentals for software engineering, including context engineering and tool use.
• Experience with architectural patterns such as MVVM or VIPER.
• Hands-on experience building and safeguarding AI-enabled tools or features.
• Experience mentoring engineers and improving team processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction of the PAX iOS app, including architecture and coding principles.
• Design and develop reliable AI primitives for mobile development at scale.
• Improve adoption through RFCs, migration plans, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical strategy.
• Oversee risk management, on-call and incident response, code/design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
