Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a candidate to manage an Environmental Engineering project for a 2-year contract. Responsibilities include designing and documenting instrumentation systems, managing project execution, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Control Engineering and strong hands-on experience in the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Experience in construction, power, or industrial projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering specs, datasheets, and drawings for I&C systems.

Job description

• Project: Environmental Engineering – IWMF Construction Project

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Documentation: Prepare engineering specs, datasheets, and drawings (P&ID, loop diagrams, cable schedules, etc.) for instrumentation and control systems.
• Project Execution: Manage I&C activities from design to commissioning — including scheduling, budgeting, and progress tracking.
• Technical Expertise: Handle PLC, DCS, sensors, transmitters, control valves, and related systems.
• Vendor Coordination: Review vendor proposals, drawings, and manage technical interfaces.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure designs follow industry codes; participate in HAZOP and safety reviews.
• Support & Maintenance: Troubleshoot and maintain control systems at project sites.
• Team & Client Interaction: Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with clients and project teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation / Control Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience across the full project lifecycle.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, EPLAN, and relevant control system software.
• Knowledge of PLC/DCS systems, networking (TCP/IP, Modbus, Ethernet).
• Familiar with industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in construction, power, or industrial projects preferred.
