Careers @ Focal Search in Singapore is seeking a skilled CNC/Machine Operator to set up and operate Horizontal Boring Machines for precision engine components. You will read engineering drawings, select tooling, run Mastercam-modified programs, and verify dimensions with micrometers and bore gauges.

The role requires 3–5 years' experience in HBM/CNC operations, ability to work independently, and willingness to overtime to meet deadlines. Safety and quality are top priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience operating and setting up Horizontal Boring Machines.
• Experience in CNC machining and HBM operations; Fanuc control is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including tolerances.
• Ability to create, modify and troubleshoot Mastercam CNC programs.
• Knowledge of CNC machining processes, cutting tools and parameters.
• Experience with workpiece setting, alignment and precision measurement.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work overtime to meet project deadlines and maintain machine care.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate Horizontal Boring Machines for precision parts.
• Read and interpret engineering and machining drawings.
• Carry out boring, drilling, tapping, milling and related processes.
• Prepare and modify Mastercam CNC programs per drawings.
• Select tools, speeds, feeds and machining parameters.
• Set up workpieces, align, and verify dimensions with instruments.
• Ensure parts meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
• Maintain 5S, cleanliness and preventive maintenance.
• Report machine issues to supervisor and coordinate with teams.
