Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore is seeking a Senior Geomatics Engineer / Principal Geomatics Engineer, Geodesy to strengthen the nation’s geodetic capability. You will work within the Geodesy team on datum modernisation, land-sea integration and whole-of-government coordination.

Your work includes processing high-quality geospatial data, developing geodetic data products, and applying research to advance Singapore's geodetic services and climate resilience initiatives.

Qualifications

• Background in Geodesy, Geomatics Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Good understanding of geodetic principles and coordinate reference systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and MATLAB, with data processing and visualization skills.
• Experience or knowledge in reference frames, datum development, GNSS and geoid modelling is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, analyse and interpret geospatial and geodetic data and develop data products and visuals.
• Support design, development, operation and maintenance of national geodetic infrastructure and workflows.
• Conduct technical studies and applied research to strengthen internal capabilities and services.
• Coordinate with government agencies, research institutions and stakeholders on geodetic initiatives.
