Job summary

Ailytics is seeking an experienced ML/CV engineer to own and scale our generative AI capabilities. You will fine-tune LLMs and vision models, develop new functionality, and oversee production deployments across our real-world video datasets.

You will shape architecture, set standards for evaluation, and build a team to scale the capability with CTO, PMs and senior management. This is a product-driven startup role with tangible impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a computer vision or machine learning engineer, with at least 2 years focused specifically on generative AI.
• Strong proficiency in Python with solid grounding in data structures, algorithms and software engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience fine-tuning open-weight foundation models such as VLMs, LLMs, or vision foundation models; talk through what worked and what didn’t.

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune, adapt and experiment with LLMs, VLMs, large vision models and other foundation models to meet product and accuracy needs.
• Build new functionality and deliver genuinely new generative AI features from idea to customer use.
• Optimize accuracy, robustness, latency and inference cost on deployed models with real-time constraints.
• Own the architecture and deployment; integrate with our computer vision stack and move models from experiments to production.
• Build evaluation discipline with benchmarks and eval harnesses to prove improvements.
• Curate and refine datasets for training/evaluation, including augmentation strategies and labeling quality.
• Set standards and hire/mentor engineers to scale the function.
