Job Description
About the Role

Working under the Investment Management team for Asia ex Japan, the incumbent will manage Invesco ASEAN Fund to deliver competitive return/performance and assist Investment Directors and Fund Managers to monitor/cover primarily Southeast Asia markets in terms of economic trends and identifying investment opportunities in seeking long term capital growth.

This individual will be required to actively provide update and insight for listed companies operating in Southeast Asia.

Responsibility of the Role
  • Primarily responsible for fundamental research for companies in South East Asia. This includes analysis of corporate balance sheets, operating parameters, financial parameters, earnings model, valuation model, etc., of companies.
  • Identify small and midcap companies which have core competency in the changing business environment and have potential of delivering sustained earnings over a longer period of time.
  • Identify macroeconomic trends of the regional economics and analyse corporate development and make good judgement of earnings outlook.
  • Make own investment decisions in simple matters within agreed limits.
  • Expects to perform certain administrative support in the followings such as attends regular team weekly and quarterly investment meetings and contribute to discussions, provides administrative support to Investment Directors and Fund Managers by monitoring the model portfolios and maintaining spreadsheets, financial models, updates market and securities database and prepare weekly/quarterly reports, assists in preparing materials for investment meetings and client reports. And provide marketing support to sales.
Requirement for the Role
  • University degree holder, preferably with CFA, CA or MBA qualification.
  • 8 years+ research experience in South East Asia equities, with strong track record of performance.
  • MAS license
  • Good communication skills, fluent spoken & written in English.
  • Strong cross-cultural and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build trust and relationships.
