Job summary

NEXBRIDGE RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and build scalable GovTech platforms.

You will develop APIs, frontend and backend components, and deliver integrated, secure digital products for government agencies and developers. The role demands strong fundamentals, 5+ years in software engineering, and proficiency with modern frontend and backend stacks (HTML/CSS/JS/TS, React/Angular/Vue, Node.js).

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering or a related role.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, with the ability to develop high‑quality, secure and maintainable applications.
• Experience with frontend technologies, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript or TypeScript, and modern web frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
• Experience in backend development using Node.js and TypeScript; other server‑side languages are relevant.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, API design, system integration and scalable application development.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem solving skills, with the ability to work through complex technical challenges.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and architectural decisions.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, UX designers and cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver user‑focused digital products.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, reliable and secure digital platforms for GovTech products and services.
• Build and integrate APIs, CMS, search capabilities and knowledge services for product information.
• Define API interfaces, versioning, error handling, testing approaches and documentation.
• Develop reusable components and abstractions to simplify integrations and accelerate delivery.
• Create user-facing experiences across Product Portal, Docs Portal and Quality Dashboard.
• Implement discovery features: search, filtering, recommendations and contextual navigation.
• Integrate platform capabilities: product catalogues, subscriptions and onboarding workflows.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate user needs into digital solutions.
• Maintain highly available and resilient services with monitoring, SLOs and analytics.
• Implement automated testing and deployment for reliable releases and CD.
• Analyse usage data and feedback to identify improvements and enhance usability.
• Develop technical docs, onboarding workflows and practical examples to improve adoption.
• Coordinate with platform engineering, tenant and product teams on requirements.
